"We loved our stay at Loa’s Nest! Only a short drive from the Golden Circle, this place was a great spot to escape the tourists and see more of the quiet Icelandic countryside. Rooms were spacious and quiet. Staff were lovely, greeting us with homemade waffles for breakfast in the morning. This was our first stop on our ring road tour and we would highly recommend to anyone passing through. "

"Family of six from Boston, stayed for 2 nights during Spring Break (April 2025). We stayed in the cottage which was very comfortable. There are plenty of beds for us six, and we got to see northern lights in the first night! Overall an amazing stay and would definitely go back again! The hotel has couple Border Collies on site who are super friendly. We enjoyed petting them :) A few things that could’ve made the stay over-the-top awesome: 1) microwave in the room, 2) on-site or in-room washer/dryer, 3) more food selection for the breakfast buffet. But these aren’t deal breakers for us. We enjoyed the stay a lot without them."

"This hotel is really far from normal tourists spots but we wanted to hike a mountain near by so I selected this location. I really enjoyed our time here and the view was pristine and untouched land. The rooms have big windows so you have a great view. "

"Like so many guesthouses in Iceland, it is remote. It’s part of a horse farm. This however is part of the charm. How wonderful to look out the windows at the horses grazing, and being welcome to walk through the stables and pet these beautiful animals. Restaurants are about a fifteen minute drive, so prepare accordingly. I’d definitely stay again."
