"Lovely stay as always, but the new electronic system needs looking at, paying for your food before it arrives at your table isn't the best way to go, especially if the food turns out to not be right. Also the doors in the public areas need a good wash down and painting, breeding ground for germs"

"Such a beautiful property! Staff was so welcoming and helpful. Breakfast was perfect (for a low cost) and the dinner was delicious, I got the Guinness pie. Rooms were a little small but just right for me and my daughter. We went in the winter time so we couldn’t enjoy the beautiful grounds. Highly recommend. "

"Lovely stay at this beautiful hotel. Staff were polite and helpful. Room was larger than expected and the bed so very comfortable. There was a wide selection of foods available at Breakfast for even fussiest of eaters. Did not use Spa/pool etc but have decided will go back later in the year and enjoy it all !!"

"Very convenient location and parking. Lovely area in central Newbury which is pedestrianised during the day. Nice hotel rooms sympathetically modernised with character. Staff very very helpful. Only negative was noise after 10 pm of customers in the outside area. They weren’t being rowdy but the sound carried enough to keep us awake. "

"We stayed 2 nights over the New Year. It is very near my family so very convenient. We had our dog with us and were given an amazing room on the ground floor with a door to the garden. Very convenient. Staff are all very friendly and helpful. I won't stay anywhere else now when I visit the family. Food is very good, we have eaten here with family before, and we were able to take dog into breakfast so no worries about leaving him in the room. We thoroughly recommend this hotel! Thank...
