"Room was small but lovely and clean. The bed was comfy but the room was way too warm, you can’t control the thermostat. The en-suite was nice but only had a bath and was not made aware of this. The breakfast was so so, poached eggs were good apart from the bread was not toasted at all. "We went for a three day break after new year. The hotel was slightly busier than we or the staff expected which created a great atmosphere. The hotel is rooms above a restaurant/Pub, neither of which can be heard when you get to your room which was a real pleasant surprise. The residents lounge area at the front of the pub is a great idea, when the log fires are on it really is a great place to relax with a drink and let the dog sleep after a days walking. The bedroom was compact, but very clean...
