"Very stylish accommodation close to everything, very convenient and safe parking. You’re transported back in history with modern conveniences and beautiful view of the town. Staff speaks English which is be big reprieve from translator on cell phones. Breakfast is awesome and everything is organic, I haven’t eaten eggs with yellow orange yolks since I was a child! "Perfect place for a taste of Minas Gerais. I write this in English because Brasilians already know of the splendor of this establishment. You will not find a more comfortable, rustic, beautiful hotel in this region. The breakfast with most of the food cooked on the wood stove makes things even more special. "

"This is an "adult property", not a proper place to stay unless one is looking for a discrete place to have sex. I feel I was bamboozled into making this reservation and I doubt I will ever see my money back. For the record, it is a very long distance from the center of Ouro Preto. "

"The Pousada Brasil is a 6-7 minute walk to the main town square, and the owner/manager is very friendly and helpful. As with many pousadas, the hotel is a very traditional building with a little balcony, nice windows with shutters. The room was very spacious, with a walk-in closet, and views towards the street outside and historic centre, which I liked. "

"We went there for a three day week end,reserved three day.Turned out we decided to leave one day early.NOTHING to do with the hotel.Amazingly out of the blue upon our check out they REFUNDED the third day we we were not to be there !!! How nice was that,really.Clean organized and very safe.If you leave breakfast still hungry you have a serious problem.We're happy with our stay there."

"Looks nice property , but very noise at night time . We stay #29. Extremely small . Basic breakfast , the best was the cheese Bread . The towels is very old . White ? No . They are almost grey and very bad quality . The employees are wonderful . Our sink was constantly dripping water and floor was wet the most the time . Very nice way to save some water . They have a bucket inside the shower and we can leave the first water from the shower in and they use to clean inside de room . We didn’t...

"Pousada do arcanjo is a gem! This beautiful colonial hotel is conveniently located near the historic section of Ouro Preto. The staff wear period costumes which is such a fun touch. They are super friendly and helpful. The cuisine in Minas Gerais is said to be the best in Brazil and the hotel’s full Brazilian breakfast (café colonial) is a shining example. There’s a lovely afternoon tea as well! My room was very comfortable. I can’t wait to visit again! "

"O hotel é muito gostoso no geral, porém algumas instalações precisam de um capricho e cuidado a mais. A piscina coberta é bem gostosa, porém alguns azulejos do fundo estão quebrados, inclusive cortei meu dedo em um deles. As luzes da piscina aquecida e da academia não acendem antes de escurecer, ficando muito escuro para ir ap banheiro e na academia. "Looks nice property , but very noise at night time . We stay #29. Extremely small . Basic breakfast , the best was the cheese Bread . The towels is very old . White ? No . They are almost grey and very bad quality . The employees are wonderful . Our sink was constantly dripping water and floor was wet the most the time . Very nice way to save some water . They have a bucket inside the shower and we can leave the first water from the shower in and they use to clean inside de room . We didn’t ask to clean or change the room , because was too small and we have many staff . The little fridge make noise like bugs inside the room all night . They have pool , but we didn’t use it . Old fashioned elevator , but works for tha place . Nice decorated . "
