"The photos of the double room are misleading. It appeared to have plenty of space with a nice view of the busy city sidewalks. Instead, our room was woefully small and was damp with a smell of mildew. Our view was an alleyway rather than overlooking the business of the people around town.The staff was friendly but not very helpful overall. We plan to visit this amazing town again but will skip staying here next time. "

"Amamos! Comida simples, mas muito gostosa! Café da manhã muito bom, mas falta um yogurte natural. Ótima estrutura de piscinas e parque, mas falta climatizar as piscinas de brinquedos. Chalé com tamanho bom, mas o banheiro tem um box muito pequeno e as torneiras dão choque. Funcionários amáveis e equipe de recreação boa."

"I wouldn’t stay on this property again. They gave me a room on the third floor, no elevator and no one to help us with my luggages. It was located on a very downhill street, we were afraid to slide down hill. The bed was hard like a rock. The breakfast didn’t impress me ."

"O ambiente é agradável. O café da manhã é simples, mas satisfatório. As roupas de cama sao limpas e novas. A cama e travesseiros confortáveis. O único problema foi a falta de privacidade do quarto por ter treliça na parte superior das paredes que dão para áreas comuns e o cheiro forte de mofo."

"The stay there was generally great. Good view from the accommodation, quiet and good breakfast. Service is nice, and efficient through WhatsApp. Only one issue is the last night of my stay there are termites. I know that they are not harmful, but the wings and worms dropped on my baggage. I don’t know if there are efficient and sustainable way to avoid this or not. Guess it might be a common issue living in old buildings. Overall, Ouro Preto is so nice, worth coming and living for some time."

"I started receiving emails directly from the hotel, in Portuguese, demanding a 50% bank transfer or my room would not be guaranteed. This was not a condition of the booking, which the website reassured me of on several occasions. Despite that, I continued receiving emails threatening to cancel my reservation up to two days before our arrival.
