"I like the style and design of hotel, safe parking( its a shame that you have to pay) decor in bedroom 10 .needs attention to walls and ceiling, stains on carpet, loose toilet seat and stains on seat catches to toilet pan, ill fitting windows and drafty. But excellent heating warm. Reception ok. on check-in not very welcoming lack of conversation. I chose this hotel as my Daughter had stayed here."

"The staff were absolutely excellent with warmth and helpfulness throughout. The building is old and so the hotel isn’t modern but it is charming. Food was excellent and the bar pleasant and comfortable. The leisure facilities were lovely. Overall a very relaxing and peaceful stay. "

"Always enjoy our stay at Union Road , it is so convenient for visiting my family. They make you feel so welcome. I am sorry to say if there is one thing we don't like is the fact that the rooms are dog friendly, and we are not dog lovers. I don't know if all rooms are dog friendly but if they are it might be a problem for future stays as my wife can break out in a rash."

"Lots of on-site parking, easy walk into town, its bed only no breakfast but that was fine for us, oddly there was no one on site, access to the property was by emailed code which was tapped into the front door access panel, but that was OK for us, same with the rooms. The only staff member I saw and spoke to was the cleaner. "

"We loved our stay in Room 4. Extremely comfortable and spacious room. Had everything we needed - kettle, Nespresso machine, hairdryer, iron etc.. 4 USB sockets around the bed for charging of devices. They are low key with their housemaid service which suited us, but if you ask for it, they provide. Good bed. Shower was strong and did put water a bit over onto the bathroom floor. Just needed a bit of moving of the shower head and of the bath mat to resolve. Stairs were a struggle with the...
