"Avoid!! Hotel in great location and should have been nice BUT.... I don't normally write reviews but this place was a nightmare from the start. On my arrival at 10.30pm from the airport, reception showed me to a tiny dark room with no view rather than the double dulux with lake view I'd booked. They told me Expedia had not paid them enough, my booked room wasn't available and this is all I could have - what a scam! The place was empty and the excuse was an obvious lie. "This is an old style hotel with plenty of character. Comfortable bed and rooms with ensuite and really interesting decorations and artefacts. Good shower and a fan - important in hot weather. Good mosquito nets. A beautiful garden - though to be avoided at night because of insects. Great granola for breakfast and a good choice. Also a good chicken dish. Wi fi was reliable"
