"A great location 15min walking distance to Jr Station. Very nice and clean. Plenty of drink bending machine, cup noodles and coin laundry downstairs. We skipped breakfast service and opted for outside instead. Thoroughly recommended. "

"Good location in Nagano. The ground floor has a strong smell, and the you can tell they once allowed smoking in the hotel. Otherwise it is a fine hotel for a stay in Nagano. PS no personal climate control in your room, just on/off for whatever the building is pumping. The beds are SUPER soft, my partner loved it but too soft for me."

"I want to start off by saying I had a nice visit, I did the half board option and the food was plentiful and very tasty. Lots of variety, the sushi was not good and their take on Western food isn't great but the Japanese food is awesome. 2 different Onsen areas that alternate gender daily so you can try both. The hotel is old, let's just prepare you for this, really old. It could do with a massive makeover but I doubt it will happen as they are very busy due to the amazing location. If you are...

"Wonderful ryokan-style hotel. Stayed for 2 nights with half-board, and the meals (dinner and breakfast) were excellent. The staff were attentive and engaging, taking the time to introduce the dinner menu to us. Chose this place for my children's first ski experience. Just a 30-minute drive to Shiga Kogen where all the ski resorts are. The hotel offers both indoor and outdoor onsens. Simply superb for a hot, relaxing soak after a day on the ski slopes.
