"Although i'm a local booked Valentines night to avoid late night taxi queues (i needn't have bothered Newcastle was very quiet). The hotel is close enough to the city centre but in a slightly quieter area. The staff were very friendly and our hotel room 419 was great, no bath but nice shower, clean and tidy. We tried the bar, still serving around midnight, again friendly staff. The breakfast was fine and nowhere near as busy as i expected. Would use the hotel again "

"Friendly staff. Great shower very powerful and great to have a choice to use a bath mat and to have a hand rail. Good temperature in room and clean and spacious. Very comfortable bed. "

"The hotel is nice but fairly basic. However, the rooms are clean and functional. The staff are attentive and pleasant (special thanks to Susan for her help). The main bonus is the restaurant attached to the hotel, which is one of the finest Indian restaurants I've ever eaten in! When we asked to book a table, we were told that it was full, but because we were residents, they prepared a table in the bar and served us there! Excellent service and excellent food!"

"Stayed here a couple of times and there is a lovely vibe. The rooms are an absolute electric mix of modern and antiques, beds are comfy and there is plenty of space. All rooms are very different so if you want a bath or shower in particular, make sure you check the details. Food in the pub is amazing, staff are very welcoming and the chef accommodated my dietary request without hesitation."
