"DeVere Wokefield exceeded our expectations considerably. We upgraded to a room in the Mansion House and the view from the window was beautiful. Even though there were wedding parties both nights we were there, we would not have known it had we not met people during breakfast and photo shoots. The front desk staff is friendly and helpful. The Mansion House could not have been a more lovely surprise. Inexpensive taxi ride to Reading to see the Silchester Eagle and the UK copy of the Bayeaux...

"Overall, we thought the Hotel was good and the location was great for Oxford and the surrounding area. Unfortunately it was a bit shabby in the corridors but the room was nice and clean. The food was excellent, we couldn’t fault it and the staff were really nice and friendly."

"The Hotel is lovely and the reception staff excellent. The only non 5* part of the stay was in the restaurant where an otherwise excellent meal was blemished by a very gristly steak which was met pretty much with a shrug of the shoulders when pointed out to the serving staff."
