"This is a very interesting place: old hotel but very beautiful with an oriental look that makes you feel inside a museum. The hotel is small but worth exploring; it's like walking inside a piece of art. It is conveniently located between the central train station and the main square, so you are in the middle of the action. The breakfast was included and good. The hotel is a great value if you are not too picky (my room was small and old). Only one issue: walls are thin and I could hear snoring...

"I don't mean it is unsafe, but the area around, because of just across the road from the Brussels Midi station, especially just outside the property, is creepy. There are always some people of dark skin hanging around, which made you exiting and entering the property feel uncomfortable. However, it is very convenient for travelers in terms of transportation, eating."

"I was sent to a second building of the Hotel Retro into the rook 502. Which is fine as a standard. But nobody warned me that there is no lift up to the 5th floor. It ends on the fourth floor then you have to walk up taking narrow wooden stairs with your bag."

"Lovely quiet hotel in excellent location. Easy walk from Brussels Midi station. Easy walk into the centre. Lots of bars and restaurants close by. Bed comfortable. The only negative would be that we found the room to be quite cold overnight. Though maybe because we were on the top floor. Paid extra for breakfast which was worth the extra 15 euros. Would recommend and would stay again "

"What an amazing accommodation! The place was super cozy, clean and very modern. The main lobby/area was very comfortable and the staff were very friendly and helpful. It's about a 30-45 minute walk to the city centre but there are food options in the neighborhood. It's right by the De Koninck brewery, if you are into beer. This place exceeded my expectations."
