"I'm not sure if Washington stayed here but he definitely was nearby. 18th century building certainly has the post colonial vibe. Tall ceilings, old staircase, lots of woodwork. The inn seems to be in varying degrees of remodel. I was intrigued by the "spa" part of "inn and spa" so I booked a room then was informed that the spa in the basement had flooded so no spa treatments. I love old historic hotels and inns but this one could use a bit more updating. I had room #1, the first room on the left...

"We had a large group of family staying together and the size of this house with the number of bedrooms and bathrooms was perfect. They rooms were spread out also to give everyone some space which was great. The house was very clean upon arrival. We came in the winter and there is a lot to do near by which was nice. "The ease of accessing and communications was very nice. The property had a nice comfy homey relaxing feeling. The hot tub was not functional and most windows did not open or close properly. The couch had broken legs in the game room and collapsed. All and all it was a nice stay considering the price."
