"Unique feature of the place is the pool and love the complimentary light breakfast! Though didnt get to experience the happy hour from 5-7pm during my stay. Staff was excellent too, very helpful!"

"Overall, they were really good, the only two things we found a little down was the breakfast being cold at 9.20am ( the rice ) , and ordering a taxi, the reception was not that great with it, otherwise, the staff and the rooms were good, one more thing , the lift tend to close before you get in , when a few people get off and you have to wait, then it closes immediately, dose not allow U enough time to get in ."

"The staff are very friendly and helpful, the room was clean and neat, and it is a quite corner of the old city, walking distance to a bunch of attractions. I would definitely recommend Thapae Loft to anyone traveling to Chiang Mai The staff were so helpful and attentive when ever we needed anything and were willing to go the extra mile to help ensure we had a great stay. "

"We had just about the best room in the hotel, really big and comfortable, with a lovely view of the tiny swimming pool (I never saw anyone in it). Marvellous considering the outside was a concrete jungle and a very busy road. We never ate there. It was an oasis. Staff were very polite and helpful."

"Lovely stay at Shamrock. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool felt slightly like an amenity that somewhere you could swim (there were no pool loungers). Rooms were lovely and nicely decorated."

"A great location to stay away from the crazy packed old town. Super walkable! Yummy breakfast, coffee, drinks, and of course water. Airplane noise was a bit loud, but I slept with headphones so it wasn’t a huge deal. "

"Cheap rooms but there are several better ones around for the same price. Annoying check with lots of paperwork to sign. Very thin walls so pick up the noise outside. Clean but very old rooms and bedding. Several floors but no lift. The hotel has a new and old building a few side streets apart which is confusing when try to find it. Make sure you know which you need. On the plus side, is cheap and reasonably clean. "

"My husband and I absolutely loved this hotel. The entrance is beautiful and welcoming. The staff are all so friendly and helpful. It’s a lush oasis with a great pool and tropical plants surrounding it. We loved our room with a balcony overlooking the pool. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom had a strong shower. It was kept clean and was made up daily. We loved the choice of food and drinks at breakfast. Staff go over and beyond to help you. I highly recommend this lovely hotel. "

"The views overlooking the river are just amazing. The bungalow is simple but clean with wifi, comfortable bed and a/c. Staying here for the day is fantastic. You will see the elephants walking around all day and you can watch others with their elephants. I especially liked that if you sign up for a walk or bathing etc it will be only with your group. The staff go out of their way to take pics for you on your phone so you can focus on the elephants. Must do the morning wake up... the best."
