It's a 15 minute walk from the city centre and has it's own private underground parking (first come, first served basis) so we could just leave the car and wander the city. Can't fault the stay - great location, friendly staff, good rooms and priced well. Would definitely stay again if we return to Gent."

"The Carlton is an excellent place to stay in Ghent, just minutes from Citadel Park, the train station and other attractions. The breakfast was delicious and the rooms are very clean and comfortable. We were even treated to fresh flowers in our room!"

"The hotel is right on the corner of the square in Ghent, it was not too noisy though. Staff were very friendly and the breakfast and bar areas were clean and well stocked. It is very easy to find your way around the city and the tram services are excellent. Have a look around the castle, a good two or three hours to cover it. Many churches too. We are not religious, but the architecture is something to behold. A trip to Patrick Foley's Irish Bar is also worth it."

"Beautiful art deco hotel, very close to Ghent Sint-Pieters train station, only a two stop tram ride or 5 minute cycle. Staff was very welcoming and helpful to tell you any destinations in Ghent. Would stay again! "
