"Lovely place, really liked the feel. Staff very helpful and friendly. Traditional breakfast excellent. Great being served tea and coffee first thing! So different from the big places where everything is self service. Toasters need a look at. not functioning so well and the notices above about 2.5 don't relate. The bed we has was just too small ( a queen) and the side lights for the bed were too high up to give much light for reading. Could've done with plug sockets by the bed for charging...

"The hotel is perfectly situated on the sea front. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. The hotel bar and reception are have been updated and are nice. The rest of the hotel - corridors, bathrooms, etc really need updating. It’s worn, faded, and old. I was in a Mews room. The room I would give 5 stars to. This room was updated and very comfortable. The bathroom too. Great hotel but needs work in between the front lobby and the rooms!"

"Could not fault it accept I could hear the man above me going to the toilet in the middle of the night and getting back in bed. The bed squeaking. Then getting woke up every morning at 6.15 when he got up could hear him using the toilet shower and opening and closing draws. My bed was very squeaky also every time I moved"

"We were cold in our room as the heater was programmed and virtually unworkable and despite asking for a heater we never got one. Breakfast was excellent and positioned centrally was bus connections to the station and almost everywhere locally"

"This should have been a couples trip but at the last minute it turned into a solo trip. Even though I was on my own I felt very safe and well looked after. The room was well equipped, clean, newly decorated and comfortable. I tried two things on the breakfast menu and I have to pass my compliments to the chef. The food was very tasty and well presented."
