Got a window-less room with paper-thin walls, could hear the bloke next door talk to the missus/kids on the phone (tbf wasnt even talking loudly), others snore etc. Breakfast was also poor (at least the 'gaijin' part of it) It's a pity cause the location is great, rental bikes are free, there are plenty of cafes/things to do nearby."

"I usually don't review stays, but i had to for this Ryokan Yamazaki! The property is clean, quiet, beautiful and peaceful. Above all, the service we received was outstanding. The staff are very kind and patient. They were very understanding with foreigners as well, and explained everything we needed. I was very sick to my stomach when i arrived, due to motion sickness. My husband went to ask for directions to a pharmacy, and the staff drove him there personally and helped him pick out medicine!...
