"The building and decor are dated and well worn. Beds were comfortable, which was a pleasant surprise given most hotel beds in Taiwan are hard and pillows are like rocks. Parking was across the street with a token to exit, but the barrier was open anyway."

"This Lishan Guest House is a former State Guesthouse, for visiting Bigwigs to Taiwan. As such it is very imposing and proper, with all amenities (except a House Bar). there is even a room dedicated to Chiang Kai-sheks stays in-house: his bed, bathtub, etc. "

"Stayed in the Deluxe Villa, Lanai in April 2023 and paid $577 US for one night. This was their premium suite. The space was impressive at nearly 2,000 sq ft. Had an old-world feel. The view from the outdoor pool area was magnificent. But anyplace with a balcony that high up would have magnificent views. So no points there really. While impressed with the size of the space, I was very disappointed with simple comforts you would expect for paying nearly $600 for one night and quite upset...

"Perfect location as it's in the middle of town. Room is clean. There was a minor issue with the toilet and it got resolved immediately. Spacious room. Wide and fresh selections at breakfast. Will definitely recommend to my friends."
