"Check in was easy, with a pleasant lady telling us what to do. Our bedroom was small but adequate overlooking the main road. The train station is across the road. It's about a ten minute walk to Skipton town centre, and you can walk along the canal side, which we did and was pleasant. The breakfast was good, either cooked or continental. The bad bit! The extractor fan in the bathroom would not go off. We turned the light off and there is usually a delay before they go off, but this one stayed...

"Great stay with the most friendly courteous staff I have met in a hotel. Great warm welcome at reception and great service from the staff at dinner and breakfast. Room very clean and bed and pillows very comfortable. Breakfast very good with good choice. The hotel is old fashioned and has real character I would stay again and recommend "

"My friends and I had a great three nights at the King's Head. The accommodation was good with a sizable and clean room. The breakfast was great with a lot of variety. We ate in the restaurant twice during our stay and the menu was varied and quality was good. The hotel bar serves a wide selection of spirits and wine and the beer from the two local breweries was excellent. "

"The Inn was ideally situated, not too far from Settle and Malham Cove which was beautiful. Very welcoming and a special smiley reception from the delightful Poppy. Francesca too couldn’t do enough for us as we enjoyed Happy Hour and Over 60s good prices on evening meals. We’ll be back!"

"Just the most quaint and beautiful setting! Very well kept property and grounds. The pub dining area couldn't be more enjoyable. The staff was friendly and helpful and a young woman named Jess was particularly delightful and helpful. I would recommend to anyone looking for a quiet getaway. Just a short drive over to Grassington which is must!"

"The stag were extremely welcoming, warm and friendly. The room was a very good size with a modern en-suite bathroom. The evening meal menu had a varied selection for all tastes and the quality of food was excellent, being very well cooked and presented. Breakfast was high quality local produce with a large serving. "Nice hotel on main road through Askrigg. Comfortable room ( No 12) but a little small with 2 single beds. Bathroom had separated bath and ensuite shower. Very nice cooked breakfast and good service throughout. Didn't take evening meal but seemed popular for drinks and meals. Free parking at the rear. Only problem for us was room 12 was up 4 flights of stairs with no lifts. Check with the hotel when booking if that will be a problem for you. Beer garden out back."

"Overall, what a lovely stay. Il get the negatives out the way first! -We arrived on a Tuesday and the front desk isn’t open. We had no idea where to go and there were no instructions on the booking confirmation or website how to check in on Mondays and Tuesdays when the main desk is closed. We eventually were pointed to the white goose restaurant by a lovely older couple who’d also had the same problem when checking in, and were able to pick up our keys from there. Great Hotel

"Really enjoyed our stay ..easy to find..off road private parking..the hotel is very welcoming nicely decorated and clean...the bar is a good size and well stocked..the room was large with plenty of storage and room to sit and read or study..the bathroom had a bath with shower and toilet.. plenty of hot water..the bed was very comfy and sheets were fresh and clean..The breakfast was amazing with everything you could want and plenty of it.Only 10 mins walk into town along the canal which runs directly behind the hotel...All in all a great hotel "

Boys Walking Break.
