" Loved the food especially the moules mariniere, french fries and sauce,but had a nasty virus and cough so not much appetite, friendly guests, staff, and atmosphere on the ground floor in the bar and restaurant. What makes the 7 stars hotel unique is the architecture of the building adding to its character and history, and would be a great setting for an offbeat film. "Very good stay in a comfortable hotel. Service was great. Couple of things - I felt the dinner menu could be a little more extensive, the check out time of 10 am is a little early. But generally a great stay. Ps I should have mentioned this at check out but the sink plug in room 102 sticks closed 😎"

"The food was outstanding. We are in the bar area and the staff were amazing. Breakfast was delicious and a lot of choice. The evening entertainment was brilliant. The shower was terrible. We only stayed one night as we were attending a funeral so only used it once and we were in a hurry. "Great place to stay. The only issue was a lot of noise throughout night with guests slamming doors but thats not really a reflection on the hotel its self. Clean and comfortable rooms, great selection at breakfast. Room cleaned daily. Great free parking onsite which is a bonus. Would book again and recomend"

"We had an amazing week, great sea view room, fabulous breakfast each day, we also ate there of an evening a couple of times and had sunday lunch and each time the food and service was excellent and great value for money. Lots of free parking and easy walking distance to the town centre. The staff were all friendly and approachable nothing was too much, all in all a great week."

"The strength of this hotel is the lovely staff, from the reception to the breakfast staff they were all friendly, helpful and professional. Our rooms were also clean and breakfast well cooked. "

"Hotel was well decorated in the main areas - looking fairly newly redone. The service was good. The only issue is the quality of the breakfast buffet is terrible - i mean really terrible. We arrived at breakfast around 9.30 - the eggs were like rubber, sausages the cheapest you can buy, bacon like rubber, instant coffee only. The toast was the highlight, which speaks volumes. "Absolutely lovely place. Rooms were great.Beautiful surroundings.Only down side was that we arrived at 1pm, check in was 3pm.Had planned to go to The White Hart Inn, for lunch and drinks,only to arrive there and be told, due to winter staffing, they were not opening until 5pm. I suggested that maybe having a sign on the road advertising that they were open from 8am, should be removed/ amended."
