"The property was extremely tired and run down and did not reflect how it was advertised on the Expedia website. We paid extra for a spa bath which when we turned it on, filled the room with the smell of sewage- we obviously therefore did not use it! Our room smelled damp and there was evidence of mould on the ceiling in our room and in communual areas. The furniture was battered and broken and the shower rusty."

"Hotel bom, um pouco antigo. O quarto que fiquei tinha uma varanda mas a lâmpada estava queimada. Reclamei e disseram que a manutenção só está lá de seg a sexta. O hotel é bem limpo, principalmente o quarto. A piscina estava turva e a água verde nos 2 dias que estive lá. Tive um problema pessoal durante minha estadia e o pessoal do hotel me deu total suporte. "I did not have a good experience at this hotel. I booked a luxury suite and was told when I showed up that it was not available for 2 days. They put me and my girlfriend in a small and very dirty room for the first night which they claimed was the same price; I threatened to cancel my stay and somehow my suite then became available the next day. The suite was large and somewhat nice except for that the toilet did not work. I told reception about this everyday of my stay and they still did not...

"My husband, our dog, and I spent Christmas weekend at Hotel Pousada Ilhasol. The room was comfortable and had a small private patio, which was perfect to dry our bathing suits and towels and even better for the dog to be outside off leash. The included breakfast buffet was fantastic and grounds were perfectly maintained with bird guides, a nice in-ground pool and bar. We were even able to bring the dog by the pool while we dipped our feet in. The staff was welcoming too!"
