"Nice area and nice view of the lake and marina. Only issue was WiFi access did not work in the room you had to go to the lobby for access. Also no elevator for access to the even number rooms. "

"This was our first, and definitely not the last, time staying at The 1857. We were in town for a concert at the Carson Center and HIGHLY recommend this hotel. It is literally just across the street from the venue! And the hotel rain shower...I don't know how we didn't use up all the hot water in the hotel because the shower itself was a spa experience. Kudos for the high-end shampoo, conditioner, and soap! Overall, I have zero complaints about The 1857."

"Wonderful place! Such a cute vibe. Nice rooms and facility, had jacuzzi tub in our room. Love the shared kitchen/cooking area (has pots and pans to use) and love that it has a fridge. Beds were very nice! James was wonderful host and greeter. Would come back again."

"Loved the cabin and the property, the koi pond was definitely a group favorite. Everything was absolutely beautiful and the owners were very quick to respond! I will say this is probably not a place for large groups the kitchen was very small, gorgeous, but only built for a few people. "

"It was a neat place. The Wi-Fi didn't work on my T-Mobile phone and the shower was very small. Other than that I really enjoyed my stay and the prices were very reasonable. "
