"This is an old hotel, which does need some tlc, however, the receptionist told me the rooms are nearly finished a refurb and whats been done so far is lovely. Our executive double was large, warm and a really comfy bed. Breakfast was served fresh, hot and good quality. Great location. Shame its £9 a night to park but as the accommodation is so reasonable we didnt mind. Much better than many other sheffield hotels."

We had a ‘small double’ room but this was a generous size with plenty of storage to unpack into. Everything was clean and the linen & towels were good quality. "I didn’t realised that immigrants are staying at that hotel. Kids are wondering around at the car park and playing. Security are all round. I didn’t expect security at the hotel. First when we enter bit worried. But later we are fine inside our room."

"This hotel is in a great location and is very handy for Chatsworth and the walks around this beautiful area. I’m told the hotel is under new ownership and there are big plans for refurbishing both the hotel and restaurant. However our room was spotless and we had everything required for two nights of peace and tranquility. Friendly efficient staff the hotel will do well to retain."

"Had an absolutely fantastic stay at The George!! I booked a long weekend for myself and my brother to do some hiking. Hayfield is a beautiful gem of a village, and the hotel is perfectly placed in the Peak District for all the most scenic hikes.
