"A very convenient location for our stay being close to the crematorium. The staff were welcoming, efficient and friendly. Our room was on the ground floor fairly close to the bar area and consequently was noisy until the early hours. The room itself was spacious and comfortable but the shower over the bath was very erratic - which we remarked upon to the hotel"

"It was a Victorian hotel so don’t expect ultra modern but I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. The staff, particularly the gentleman in reception was just so helpful all the time. The hotel was preparing for Christmas so had a lovely atmosphere. There was entertainment and an enormous dining area and all overlooking the sea."

"One of the many good things about The View in Eastbourne is that it has a number of single rooms, and they represent particularly good value for money. Also, great sea views, friendly and helpful staff, nice food, good value, and very clean. My only negative experience is only a minor one. "The room was clean and cozy and warm. The room service was great as the bed was made and fresh towels given every day. The swimming pool was warm and clean. Very polite and helpful staff. There was live entertainment on one night with a great singer which was very good. The hotel is right on the beachfront and not far from the town centre. We have to visit Eastbound regularly to see my brother who is ill and this is the best hotel we have stayed in so we will be staying here in the future....

"This hotel is spotless. I was that impressed, i asked them to pass on the message to their housekeeping staff. The building shows signs of usual wear and tear but Nadia & her team obviously work hard at keeping the areas clean. No signs of cobwebs or dust...anywhere. For the price we paid, it was an excellent choice. Ive paid much more for hotels which have no where near the cleanliness of this place. Staff are very pleasant and welcoming. Well done to all. "
