"overnight stop to break longer journey. Old motorway hotel that has been in several hands over the years. The current owners appear to be doing a great job with regards providing a great value for money property just off the A1. The evening menu looked ok but I arrived a little late so just had a drink in the bar. As of 5/4/25 a pint of Madri cost £5.50 & Aspal Cider £5. Cheaper than most pubs I use. "this is a lovely quite place to stay and beautiful birds. meer cat , and gold fish, little cafe on site and a shop of books on birds and information on the bird charity, the apartments has microwave and fridge, cutery, plate ect and big supermarkets 2 mile down the road, we cooked a lovely meal and got some treats had a lovely time, and all the birds are looked after very well."
