"I love this place! I came back here after having an amazing stay over Christmas. The staff are lovely and the rooms are cozy. The village is beautiful, quiet, and very serene. The canal is nearby and is a lovely walk. The view from my room overlooked the village, valley, and Avon River. With the frost on the ground, it turned magical! "

"Had a wonderful stay here. Staff were friendly, food was great, room & hotel was clean. My only negative is that the walls are very thin! I could here everything in the next room, from phone conversations, to using the bathroom. I expect not much can be changed as it's an old building. So my only recommendation is for people to take ear plugs! I'm glad I brought my own eye mask, as the room was bright at night with the light from outside. But overall a lovely experience, and would happily go...

"A lovely hotel, nice big room with comfy bed. This is definitely not a dog friendly hotel, we had hoped to have a drink in the bar after the stressful weekend we'd had but no. Dogs are not allowed in the restaurant which I fully understand but they are not allowed in any area in the bar. So basically you walk through reception and go straight to the room with your dog. This is not dog friendly at all and you even have to pay £15 a night for this. Honestly if you have a dog don't bother going...

"The reception staff were lovely. The man who welcomed us on arrival was particularly helpful and cheerful. The lady on reception was very helpful too…especially dealing with a slightly awkward situation with a man who thought he had left belongings in our room! The hotel itself is a bit ‘tired’ and could do with a bit of an upgrade. But, saying that, our room was clean and tidy and the king size bed was very comfortable in the ‘double room’ we booked. We used the swimming pool and sauna which...
