"Wiveliscombe is a small town a few miles west of Taunton with a distinctly rural feel. The hotel is in the centre and has its own car park. The building is old and certainly characterful. Our room was at the back, reached by a bit of a maze of stairs and passages (no lift but not a problem for us) and was clean, warm and well maintained. The bed seemed slightly hard. "Lots of on-site parking, easy walk into town, its bed only no breakfast but that was fine for us, oddly there was no one on site, access to the property was by emailed code which was tapped into the front door access panel, but that was OK for us, same with the rooms.
