"Very old hotel with lots of character. The downside is that it could use a reno. The pizza was great, the ice cream was wonderful, the rest of the food only so so but the service great. Sea view room was worth it. "

" Nicely located on the Pentire peninsula, great food, friendly staff. Room was spacious and clean with fantastic view across to Fistral beach. Swimming pool ok but a tad small when busy. Overall we love it and will be back. "

"We had a couple of nights here whilst bringing my son down to start uni at Falmouth. The hotel is set in its own grounds so feels like the countryside, but only a 25 minute walk into Falmouth centre which incidentally is a lovely place. The staff are very nice and friendly and happy to help, the room we had was good and clean, and the pool was a real treat, and as it’s open from 7am we were able to use it on our last day before having breakfast! Very relaxed atmosphere, would definitely recommend!!!"

"Multiple slats were missing from one bed so the mattress slumped. This was rectified when reported. There was mould on the walls within two rooms which I was merely told happens due to the area they are located and they’d get the cleaner to sort. This never happened. There was an overpowering smell that came from the carpet in the master bedroom which induced a headache every time I was in there. I was told they would get the carpet cleaner on it but this did not happen. It’s the first accommodation I’ve stayed in where I’ve had to prewash all of the kitchen utensils before using as they were either dirty or covered in cobwebs. Providing a small bin in the bathroom and a dustpan and brush in the place would have been useful (these seem like very basic essentials to provide as standard). The food at the beach restaurant was enjoyed by all. Beach hire and surf lessons on site were run by lovely people and my kids really enjoyed utilising this service. Access to a lovely stretch of the beach from the site with lifeguards offered peace of mind and was a safe place to enjoy each day."
