"We were a bit sceptical about the resort at first due to previous reviews. However it was a great 10 day stay for us. The food was lovely, couldn’t get enough of the prawns. The room with the sea view was amazing. The staff were great, thank you Maria you made our stay very comfortable. "Wonderful architecture and ambience. Older building, no elevator but stairs. Muslim environment but not overly so. Good solid breakfast. If going out after dark travel in a group or request a taxi to the hotspots of town. I love this place but if you want shiny and new with hot and cold running staff, it's not for you. If you want to feel like you are on Stone Town, almost like a local, this is the place to be."
