"A beautiful hotel, with lovely friendly happy staff, who always gave a huge morning welcome at breakfast time. Delicious healthy breakfast and the best coffee, I've tasted in a long time, I had to go back for another. I felt very safe and it's in a great location to get to/from the ferry and to walk around to the shops and restaurants. "

"I loved the charm of the old building. Breakfast was included and was very good. The famous Lukmaan restaurant is right around the corner. There is a mosque across the alley, so you will hear the call to prayer unless you’re a heavy sleeper. There is also street noise but it usually gets quieter the later it gets. There is no parking. Make sure the taxi driver points out the building because it’s very nondescript. Overall a great place to stay. "

"I was with both my daughters the area la Neisha is situated is very safe, we were out late night we felt secure and the streets lights were visible. Also the staffs are very friendly and helpful especial Ali, Suleiman and Aisha. We wanted a transport to go to port they arranged for us. I would just like to give feedback in regards to room service, the telephone was not working , there was no curtain shower or hair dryer, this could be because of the new management. "We had a lovely time at Kiponda, the location is amazing for exploring Stone Town and the staff were so welcoming and helpful. We loved the rooftop view from the restaurant. Breakfast was fine but with limited options. Lovely place, thank you!"

"Poor management and the hotel has no freedom by desk but is operated out of a restaurant that is around the corner. The room is basic a bed and bath. The manager is not around but part of the time but only at the restaurant. No sign at restaurant that there is a hotel and we were the only guests. Would not return. "
