"I would have gave 5 stars. However ,At checkin after going to my room. I came back & asked why my room didn’t sleep 5 as I booked thru Expedia. His fix was for me to wait and talk to a manager on Monday evening. That wasn’t fixing my problem since my stay was fri-Mon. Then the next morning I spoke with the evening girl at the check in desk. She said, I will talk to the 7 am girl & see what we can do. She gave us a roll away bed. It was tight but worked out. My fault for booking without...

"Check In was great; easy and friendly staff. Lobby was very inviting and had hot coffee available for free. Room was clean. Another guest was quite noisy letting doors slam shut against the flip latching lock. Asked him several times to stop slamming the door and he had 0 respect and did this until 9pm and finally put ear plugs in and went to sleep. "

"Hotel has a beautiful carved maple lobby, beautiful view of the illinois river & friendlt and accomodating staff. Rooms are nice. Some of the hallways etc could use some updating. Nice and quiet with excellent complimentary coffee in the mornings. Irish pub within walking distance as well as excellent pizza at Hoops Pizza and beer. Also located next to I 74 with wasy access"

"It is a nice historic building. It has been renovated very nicely. There isn't a staff person sitting at a front desk. My key was in a large envelope with my name printed very large, and left on the front counter, next to another guests, with their name printed very large on the envelope. So much for privacy... Located on a corner in the town square, on a main street. Was quiet thru the night, after 11pm on a Monday night."
