"A brilliant construction and location in the stunning gorge location. Lovely room and large patio to enjoy breakfast alongside the roaring river. Parking was manageable at the roadside, and the lift ideal between floors. The owner and waitress were charming and informative, but we were both startled and disappointed at the continuing grumbles from the receptionist, especially when asked about messages that my daughter had sent there."

If you are looking for more luxury and facilities on tap, this may not be foe you, as there is no kettle, few plugs, no fridge, in the room and no restaurant on site etc, which in more modern hotels tends to come as standard these days. "At the Duc de Padoue, the team really cares about their customers’ well being. They go out of their way to help. This includes organizing transport - even beyond Corte. The hotel is walkable from the train station and central to all the sights. Restaurant recommendation was super. The room was renovated and spacious. The breakfast great.
