"Hotel looks a little shabby on the outside, but is in reasonably good condition internally. Very friendly and helpful staff. Conveniently positioned for city (about a 35min walk) free parking at hotel. Buffet breakfast with wide choices. The room was on the small side and we could hear other guests. Pillows were very hard and uncomfortable. All facilities in room worked well and were clean. "

"The hotel was lovely, we enjoyed it and we had a meal in the Amber restaurant which was also lovely although the menu was a little overcomplicated for my taste, and as a lifelong vegetarian I really don't want fake steak or any kind of fake meat. We thought the staff were lovely. It is really central you can walk anywhere from this hotel."

Room was a brilliant size (we had 3 adults sharing 2 single beds and a sofa bed). Not at all cramped. All decoration and bathroom lovely and clean. Ample tea and voffee in room and at reception was nice touch. Good choice of hot breakfast options on the menu. Couldn't fault location. Very central but the minster bells didn't keep us awake, good soundproofing! Would definitely...
