"A country home feel with hotel style rooms make this a peaceful stay. Off the beaten track but within a short drive to some alternative restaurants make this a decent overnight option. We selected this so we could visit York and yet be ‘in the country’. Room was basic but comfy. One note. Many doors around give access to the car park - but they are only marked emergency exit and you have to walk in / out of the main doors. Inconvenient with luggage. "

"My friends and I had a great three nights at the King's Head. The accommodation was good with a sizable and clean room. The breakfast was great with a lot of variety. We ate in the restaurant twice during our stay and the menu was varied and quality was good.
