"My colleagues who stayed there were appalled at the state of this place . The room was filthy and look at the state of the shower screen - covered in Algae . The pictures on Hotels.com look good but probably taken about 10 years ago when the place was last cleaned . The boys were given another room but it was just as bad so they checked out without staying there at all. "

"Very attractive gastro pub off the beaten track. Excellent food and range of drinks. I was fortunate the weather was glorious so an evening in the beer garden was appreciated. The room was a good size if only a little dated. The large sash window offered little in sound proofing but had the most glorious view across a field of sunflowers. "Ideal location with walking distance to many things , room was warm and clean an arrival , beds comfortable . Large tv in a good position . If I was to point bad points … no hdmi port on tv , and sink very small so sprays everywhere "

"The hotel is in a beautiful location just a short walk from the Centre of Oulton Broad where there is a lovely park, in interesting museum (with free entry) and a few pubs and restaurants. You can also take a boat trip from here. We highly recommend the food at the hotel, our evening meal and breakfast were both excellent. The staff were very friendly and helpful."
