The shower drain grate would come out of position just by stepping on it leaving the screws exposed and making shower time a challenge. they said they were going to fix it but the next day the problem was still there. "The staff were very nice and helpful. The breakfast was wonderful. Our room was clean, very comfortable, and quiet. The location was perfect for our walking needs in Como."

"The quirkiness of this old building is fantastic and although it was a very small room it served its purpose. The only reason for just four stars is the AC will not go lower than 22 Celsius which is not suitable for sleeping. Luckily you can open a window but then you have noise and smoking scent from outside. My room had neighboring balconies very close to the window (which could not be locked in a non-entry position)."

"Although the rooms are fairly small, they are comfortable. The noise from the street is very loud and persistent all night long so wear ear plugs if you get a room streetside. The breakfast was lovely with excellent cappuccino & espresso and a nice selection of meats and pastries. It is very close to the San Giovanni train station which is a plus. The staff was super friendly and helpful."
