Driving to the designated parking area inside the old city walls was a bit of a challenge with a large number of pedestrians here for New Year's holiday, but once at the hotel we didn't want to leave anyway! "The hotel was close to the train station making arriving and departing easy. It was an easy walk to the port to get a ferry. The bus stop is close for using the bus. It had a lovely sitting area on the roof. The hotel was clean and the staff were very pleasant and helpful. No gluten free on offer. "

"Very nice hotel in a beautiful central location close to the ferry port and with a view of the lake. It is a ten minute walk from the train station. The rooms were comfortable with all the expected facilities. Breakfast had a wide range of continental choices as well as scrambled eggs and bacon. The coffee was excellent. There are a wide range of bars, restaurants and shops close by. If I were visiting Desenzano in the future I would have no hesitation in staying at Hotel Tripoli. "
