"Ideally located in the centre of town. Rooms are spacious with good size bathroom. All clean and well maintained. Breakfast was a little disappointing-as with ‘self service’ it is about timing so it is a matter of luck how long the food has been sat on a ‘warmer’ and they are never hot enough to start with. All staff were pleasant and tried their best. For £245 a night I think the food should be a better standard."

"We have stayed at The Lighthorseman numerous times and always had a pleasant stay. The manager is very friendly and obliging and its an easy walk into the city centre. Very good value. See you next time."

"The only slight problem I had was with my keycard,it wouldn't open the door on a couple of occasions,I had to trail down to reception to get it sorted. Apart from that it was a perfect overnight stay."

"The staff were great. The bed was small and not very comfy. The duvet was soo thin that if the heating hadn’t been on we would have been cold."
