"Historical building but well maintained. Old style room with shared bathroom but good price for what it is. Bar and restaurants downstairs with the beer garden. The checkin was slow and got some confusion but the manager got us an upgrade, well managed. 20 mins drive to Hunter garden, 15-20 mins drive to all wineries"

"This must have been a very "up market" establishment originally. As a hostel it is great although the gardens are in need of some TLC but we were well looked after and everything in the kitchen and lounge area were modern, tastefully presented and welcoming. We were in Room 3 with it's own onsuite. The bed was comfy and there was plenty of room for our belongings. No problem driving into town for dinner as we didn't use the kitchen. Hope it prospers!"
