Could do with a mini shelf in the shower. "Well placed in centre of Bakewell. Friendly staff. Nice large double bedroom with en suite. As they don't serve breakfast there were a couple of complimentary porridge pots and breakfast biscuits. Tea and coffee making facilities with plenty of t-bags, milk, coffee and hot chocolate sachets with packets of biscuits. Hallway outside room decoration was looking a bit tired. Had a very nice evening meal in the pub"

"The monastery has beautiful gardens to explore in any weather. The accommodation itself is spartan and authentic to the purpose, but is still good material value for money. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again for the gardens alone, but the unique experience is also an attraction."
