"Our family stayed over for a night at the hotel to visit Daisetsuzan. Hotel is very close to the cable car in small town of Sounkyo. We were there at off-season so it was quiet. Hotel is bit old but its a nice experience to stay in traditional Japanese accommodation. Rooms and tatami mattress were fine and fits in 4 people (albeit bit tight). "Our stay at La Vista Daisetsuzan was a highlight of our trip to Japan. We spent 3 nights here and throughout the whole trip, the staff were friendly and kind, the food - especially the French dinner and the breakfast - was DELICIOUS, and we loved the overall feel of the hotel.
