"The hotel was clean and well furnished. We had a balcony room which had fabulous view of the river, a great place for watching nature around you. It was very peaceful. The pool area is good with separate pool for toddlers. This also overlooks the river. The staff were excellent. All polite and helpful which you find a lot in Sri Lanka. "Ella is all hills - so it’s a 6 minute steep walk to Onrock or 1 minute drive but that’s better than almost every other place. It’s upscale for Ella though short of 4 star luxury. Breakfast excellent. It’s fun and convenient and the 2 of us from USA strongly recommend. "
