"Whatever you remember about youth hostels, this ain't it. Modern, clean, not cheap (it's Switzerland), and it has a very nice wellness spa for a rather reasonable additional charge. Food is good but not fancy, and staff were extremely helpful. The only glitch was that I booked this stay with OneKeyCash, and hotels.com (i.e., expedia) took my money and gave me a receipt showing no balance due, but then didn't actually pay the hostel! "Turned up on the day of the booking. Was advised on their website that someone was there from 1pm till 7pm each day. We got there a little after 2pm. The place was deserted. We rang the bell for CHECK IN as advised on a note on the front door. And waited as instructed in the note. Nothing. No one answered. We rang the first tel no. and could hear it in the restaurant, but no one answered. We rang several times, and then called the mobile number listed on their website - it was out of...

"The location is nice, but we were disappointed. Contrary to what we expected and what was mentioned, there was no free wifi (there was no wifi at all!), the parking was 1.3 km away and this was not a hotel but a series of appartements. The one we got was not the one we rented! And at the end, it was extremely overpriced for what we got. To be avoided!"

It is a gem of a property and feels like it is stuck in a glamorous era of 50/60 s film stars visiting the area which is just stunning . We will be returning ! Just beautiful ! "
