"If you don't mind driving back and forth on dusty bumpy roads and asking where the heck this place is over and over, then it might be ok for you if you are a surfer that doesn't mind substandard lodging. The outdoor bathrooms were dirty with no water and the room smelled like vapors coming from the uncorked sewer drains. The room is worth far less"

"I loved that this place was so small (only three rooms) and right on the beach. It was an easy walk to restaurants, hangout spots and the surf breaks. I was looking for an affordable place to stay in Popoyo that had a shared kitchen but I am in my 40s and didn't want to stay at a party hostel. Wild Waves was PERFECT for me! Sometimes being a little remote is a nice way to travel. Recently, near Popoyo in Nicaragua we decided to stay a few kilometres away from the beach and nearest town, in order to get a more real experience outside the tourists. Without a bike of our own, everything required long walks down these beautiful roads near the pacific coast. Whether it be for drinking water or a swim on the beautiful ocean, occasionally the extra effort makes everything so much more beautiful in the end. #Popoyo #Nicaragua
