"Decent quality 3 star hotel on negombo seafront. Nice garden facing the beach and great views of sunsets. Guests were a mixed crowd of locals and foreign tourists. Check in process was slow and inefficient. Staff seemed to struggle to process a group booking ahead of us and told us to wait. This took more than half hour. "Really enjoyed our stay at Hotel Villa Kapuru! The staff are really friendly and helpful, they even did some washing for us during our quick stay! So many cats and dogs around the property which were happy and friendly. Very close walk to the beach and surrounding restaurants. Wi-Fi reception wasn’t the greatest and the aircon in our room was very noisy at times but didn’t really affect our stay too much and we would definitely recommend if staying in Negombo! "

"I very spontanously went to Jetwing Ayurveda Pavillions over Christmas 2022 on my own. Just needed some time for myself. Hotel is nicely located in a green garden, small but beautiful pool. Staff is lovely. It's NOT a beach resort, keep this in mind but you can walk like 5min and use Jetwing Blue and Jetwing Beach's pools and beach as well as they are of the same brand. "Waterland is a small resort of around 5 individual villas on the banks of a river. We stayed in Elephant villa which has a small, private pool and decking area. We loved the indoor/ outdoor bathroom with fish! The area is quiet and great for just sitting and watching the wildlife. Food is eaten in a small restaurant and although choice is limited, the quality was great. The staff were friendly and helpful. Slight downsides... The resort is really tucked away ,so be sure your taxi driver knows...

"Het hotel heeft geen lift! Er is veel achterstallig onderhoud, diverse zaken werken niet, bv. airconditioning, warmwatervoorziening, waaiers, lekkende douchecabines. De ligbedden bij het zwembad bestaan deels uit verrot hout, hetgeen gevaarlijk is. De financiële afrekening gebeurt nog op 19e eeuwse wijze (losse bonnetjes, een rekenmachientje) en de receptionisten spreken zeer slecht Engels. Kortom: een upgrade is dringend nodig."
