"The residence is in a quiet peaceful location reached via a windy hillly road. In the 4 nights we stayed in early September, we saw, from the large windows of our rooms, clear views of the hills and mountain, starry nights, misty cloudy views and even a lightening show. All spectacular. The two rooms were spacious enough and clean to our liking, affordable, the staff friendly and Chamonix a half hour drive away. "

"We only booked as the hotel was pet friendly, as per the description and information. We checked in with our dog and agreed to eat in the restaurant, after some pressure from the hotel to do so. We were seated with our dog and our drinks order was taken. We were then approached 5 minutes later by the waiter to be told that his manager said we could not dine with the dog (the dog was asleep at my feet at the time). I asked if we could possibly be served in the separate lounge, which was...

"An extraordinary stop over. Although we read reviews we were not quite prepared for the ascent to the top of a 1700 m mountain ! However it was worth the climb and is not to be missed. A quite hamlet, wonderful for a retreat,walking or just a stop over. The owner was helpful and pleasant, full of information and stories!"

"The only good thing about this hotel is the location. The room was filthy from the start. No one came to clean our room during our stay so we had to go and request new towels and buy toilet roll. The mattress had a mysterious looking pee stain which was quickly uncovered as our bed sheet on our double bed was actually two single sheets placed horizontally (which is very uncomfortable and moves during the night). The duvet covers also had some mysterious stains on them, and the whole place smelt...

"I don’t think the property is used to having guests for short stays. It was a great spot for me to get in some amazing hikes and I loved having a kitchen to cook. The pillows were terrible- wish I had the luxury of bringing my own!"
