In between we explored the land of St. Bernhard. "We had a wonderful week's ski holiday staying in Chantel and Caroline's chalet. The chalet is very spacious with great facilities, especially the hot tub. The location is fantastic, quiet and away from other properties with amazing views. A little bit of a walk to the piste, which was further for us due to the spring conditions but only a few minutes drive down to the village where there was plenty of free parking."

We had absolutely sufficient space for all of us. It is a short drive to the skiing slopes with a fantastic skiing area. We would come back to that chalet again."

"We had a great week. The chalet is really close to the lifts which take you up to the La plagne ski area but you can also really easily cross to Les arcs. Montchavin is low so I don’t think the nursery slope in front of the chalet is often open but when it is you could ski almost to the door! Village is small but has a few restaurants (including the one run by the host - La bovate- which had delicious food!), small supermarket, bakery and ski hire places - everything you need unless you need...

"The property was actually much better than described and the photos do not doit justice! Communication was a bit slow via the VRBO app but we received all the info we needed. Linen and towels are not included. We were 3 families with 6 teenage kids and the house had plenty of space for us. The kitchen was well equipped. The village is small, about 10 mins walk to supermarket, boulangerie, bar, restaurant and nearest ski lift up to Vallandry (Lonzagne lift). We would definitely go back!!"

"Good stay in Chamonix. Check-in at 1700hrs is quite late and ahould be revised. As a seasoned traveler this is the first time I've ever seen such a late check-out followed by a 1000hrs check-out. Grateful that the check-out was extended to 1100hrs and yes the check-in time is indicated when making the selection for the hotel but just unfortunete. Overall nice stay at Balcon de Savoy."
