Ask for one of the lower floor rooms. We were on the third but our bags were light so not an issue. Overall, a great stay and one we would recommend."

The room at the back of the hotel had a great view of the citadel, which was a bonus. The rooms are being renovated so I have no doubt that this will be an even better place to stay in future. "Really nice one. Peacefull and well mainted. i arrive after midnigh and leave early in the morning and i was easily arrange everithing with them. Bed was perfect and i rest very good. Room is clean, towels are nice and I am very satisfied."

The owner was a fantastic host - he explained the evening meal (local produce, excellent and cooked by his wife) in great detail.He also explained the available wines and, of course, the history of Chatreause. As we were leaving the next morning, he insisted we drive to the end of the valley before we continued South - wow! It was really worth it with stunning mountain scenery."
