Note that there's about 27 steps up to check-in with a lift for handicap only and then a regular lift, albeit small, for floors above that. Porto is built on steep hills, so it requires some energy, with funiculars, etc. to make it easier in some places. Nevertheless, it's definitely a more than worthwhile place to visit for a few days, with side day trips to Guiermaes and/or Braga also...

"We had a really nice stay here. Good location with a shopping mall downstairs and metro stop out front. Very easy to get to the river on the metro. Big fail was no in room coffee but other then that very nice clean and comfortable despite the decor being stuck in the 90’s All in all good experience and would stay here again "

"Very basic accommodations. The trade off is the cheap price and excellent location for shopping, cafes, restaurants, and Selina next door. It was nice that they included towels (many hostels charge a rental fee), but they were threadbare. The kitchen has no stove, only a microwave. And no luggage storage when you checkout (have to pay 2,50 per bag at their partner storage site next door). The hostel felt dark and damp. It's super cheap and great location but 2 nights was more than enough, and I...

"Property was modern and newish, we booked 2 rooms whole floor, hot water ran out at 2 person, other room had a freezing cold shower, no hot water left!!!, Also not enough linen, it was freezing all night only 1 light weight blanket on bed no spare in cardboard, also toilet running all night. Woke up exhausted and uneasy, would not return. Aircon doesn't seam to have heat settling on cold!"

"A lovely place to stay if you have a large room. Very efficient, polite staff at reception, helpful and warm. Nice building, amazing bathroom amenities and a well preserved continental breakfast. Also the fruit and pastries offered in the lobby a very nice touch. About five minutes walk from the metro station, about 20 mins walk to the main sites and a supermarket a couple of minutes away."
