"Travelled from Canada solo. Age 45. Mad Monkey was fantastic. Chill upbeat vibes during the day. From around 6:30pm-11:30pm was fun party vibes. Quiet times from Midnight to Noon"ish". Easy 5 min walk to patong beach and 10 min walk to crazy Bangla road nightlife. Anything you could want or need is everywhere around you at all times. Very social atmosphere with awesome staff. Justin and Win took great care of me. Coming back next year with friends and will only stay here again. I'm gonna email...

"Pool closed too early. We wanted go to pool around 8pm it was closed we were told. Otherwise everything was great. Close to walking distance for places we wanted to go like food, massage etc. Nice n clean. We were checked in early then booked checked time as we got there like 11am with no problem checking in early and no additional fee. Thanks 10/10 from us. "

"I checked in right around 130 am on new years. And I get that it’s a holiday but there was no staff to check me and 2 other girls in. We slept on a chair until morning until staff showed up. The key that I received did not work with the door of our shared room. Some safety concerns there. Although, the location is pretty good. "

"It was a decent stay but I wasn't a fan of the cleanliness of the place. Inside my cubby wasn't the cleanest as there was some stuff on the walls and it made me feel grossed out and the moldy wet smell wasn't my favorite either. Also, the beds were hard and not all that comfy. Other than that it was in a very convenient area and liked that I was able to quickly get some food or do laundry without hastle."

"Mon and Dennis are fabulous hosts at their super clean hotel. Rooms and public areas are tastefully decorated and very comfortable. Shower has lots of hot water and is separate from toilet which is so nice to not have a wet floor like most budget hotels. The small pool is great for a soak and quite photogenic. Also nice view from balcony rooms. Rooms in back are quiet with very good aircon and ceiling fan. Also good wifi. Several very good local Thai restaurants (not fancy) in walking distance...

"Property conveniently located close to Patong beach & bangala road, however rooms were outdated, tv in room doesnt work & asking hotel management to fix it didnt get any response, there is no resturant in the property so all ypur food needs to be arranged outside property. Electricity went out one day for a whole 6 hours which was no pleasent"

"Unfortunately, when I got to Thailand, the original hotel that i had booked well, the so-called hotel. And after leaving there, after one night and then leaving for somewhere else in haste. And then I found this place. I would say the best way to describe. It is a diamond in a rough! It is a gem. The place is undervalued in the way being, describing.. Everything about it is excellent. The staff goes over and beyond to help you. They call it a hostel. I don't know why! You are given shampoo...

"We were a bit apprehensive about our choice not realizing it was a 2* hotel but were pleasantly surprised. Great for a one night stay. Hotel was clean, rooms were a good size and location to Chalong Pier was great. Just an FYI there is no elevator so hefting a heavy suitcase up 2 or 3 floors could be a challenge for some. "
