"The service was amazing, the complimentary room upgrade and drink was a lovely surprise for our anniversary and we are very grateful! We would definitely recommend staying here and we will be back. Only one negative was we found a sealed new packet of cigarettes in the bed side table and there was a beer bottle on the balcony with cigarette buts in but other than that everything was clean and tidy."

"The hotel is great and the room is beautiful. The only bad thing is that they don't mention that you will be charged for the car park as it belongs to railway station and the jacuzzi is not warm at all as is connecting to the main pool and sauna was not working 😕 "

"The Gonville is a beautiful hotel. Centrally located in Cambridge, it has a mixture of elegance and style. The rooms are very unique and brings back that feel of what UK hotels are renowned for. Lastly and more important I would like to say thank you to all the staff, immaculately dressed, polite and professional."

"Decided to splash out a bit for a central, comfy base for a night in Cambridge. Was lovely to have the sparkly decorations in the lobby, the room was a great size and the bed was huge and comfortable. Parking was extortionate as was the price of the drinks in the hotel bar. "

"By the river, this hotel is ideally situated for exploring Cambridge. The staff are excellent, knowledgeable and friendly. The rooms are well appointed, cosy and very clean. We ate in the restaurant and can recommend it along with the bar where excellent cocktails are served. There's a large car park (unusual in Cambridge) which also has 6x EV chargers. "

"Our room was lovely; it was warm and clean. The bathroom was fine and there was an excellent TV! But the central common areas and corridors were a bit cold. The Health Club was a bit disappointing: the pool and steam room were fine but the jacuzzi wasn't working, nor was the ladies' sauna. Breakfast was not great. "
